Performance Volvo Cars Pro Tennis Challenge Alumni Make Their Marks at Wimbledon

The world's attention is on Wimbledon, and the Performance Volvo Cars Pro Tennis Challenge is proud to see former tournament competitors making headlines on one of tennis' biggest stages.
The Dynamic Duo Spotted at Wimbledon
One of the tournament's biggest recent stories belongs to Jan Choinski of Great Britain. On June 29, Jan reached a career milestone by breaking into the ATP Top 100 for the first time, earning a career-high world ranking of No. 100. Just one day later, he carried that momentum into Wimbledon with an impressive first-round victory over Czech player Vit Kopriva, advancing him to the second round.
Our tournament director had the opportunity to catch up with Jan at Wimbledon, where he stated his appreciation for the Performance Volvo Cars Pro Tennis Challenge and sent warm wishes to our team. Jan also expressed that he hopes to return to Berks County this summer to defend his tournament title and once again compete for the championship, pending his professional tournament schedule.
Another familiar face competing at Wimbledon this year is Billy Harris of Great Britain. Billy battled former ATP World No. 8, Karen Khachanov in the opening round on June 30. While the match didn't go his way, Billy put together a determined performance against one of the sport's most accomplished players.
During Wimbledon, Billy also spoke with our tournament director and shared that he plans to return to the Performance Volvo Cars Pro Tennis Challenge this summer. As always, player appearances remain subject to professional tour schedules, but we're excited about the possibility of welcoming him back to Berks County.
More Tournament Alumni Continue to Shine at Wimbledon
The Performance Volvo Cars Pro Tennis Challenge has even more alumni representing the tournament at this year's Championships. Former fan favorite, Chris Eubanks, returned to the Wimbledon stage on July 1, where he faced Jesper De Jong of the Netherlands. Although Eubanks came up short, he put together a hard-fought performance against a talented opponent, adding another memorable Wimbledon appearance to his career.
Another rising star with Performance Volvo Cars Pro Tennis Challenge ties is Michael Zheng. After earning a spot in the Wimbledon main draw, Zheng delivered one of the tournament's biggest opening-round upsets by defeating World No. 26, Cam Norrie of Great Britain, in an incredible five-set thriller on June 29. He continued his impressive run by defeating Nicolás Mejía of Columbia in the second round, earning a place in the third round and continuing what has already been a remarkable Wimbledon campaign.
